Sagging skin and jowls are an unfortunate part of the aging process. As we get older, the loss of collagen and elastin in the skin, as well as gravity, takes its toll. While these are some of the most telltale signs of aging, they’re also some of the most difficult to deal with. Unlike other areas of the body, jowls and sagging facial skin can’t be tightened with exercise.

But just because exercise won’t work, it doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. FaceTite by InMode provides results as close to a facelift without going under the knife. Clarity is one of the first in Connecticut to offer this advanced RFAL (radio frequency assisted lipolysis) treatment. Want to learn more? Here’s what you need to know about FaceTite, and why we love it so much.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite by InMode is the first component of Embrace RF. It’s a facial contouring treatment that utilizes RFAL, or radio frequency assisted lipolysis. RFAL works simultaneously on the inside to dissolve fat cells and tighten skin and simultaneously on the outside to stimulate your collagen. The results? Dramatically tighter skin. FaceTite provides an effective non-surgical alternative to treatments like a mini-facelift or neck lift.

What Does FaceTite Treat?

The number one complaint we receive from our patients is sagging jowls and a double chin. FaceTite is the best treatment available to date to fully address these issues. It can also be used to treat sagging skin, crepey skin on the neck, and other small areas of the body such as the knees. It’s the perfect non-surgical solution for patients who might need, but who aren’t quite ready for, a face or neck lift.

Is FaceTite Safe?

FaceTite is an FDA cleared treatment and is very safe. It has built-in safeguards that including real-time measurements of your skin temperatures. There’s an automatic temporary cut-off that shuts off RF energy, which means there’s no risk of burning.

What is a FaceTite Treatment Like?

About a week before the day of your appointment, you’ll have a full assessment and information session. I’ll walk you through what to expect before, during and after the treatment, explain at-home care and answer any questions you have.

The FaceTite procedure itself takes about an hour to complete, but expect to be at Clarity for about 3 hours on the day of your treatment. First, a local anesthetic is administered to numb the treatment area. Next, a handheld applicator is used to deliver the RF energy that melts fat cells as well as stimulates collagen production. The applicator combines a long, thin tube that’s placed under your skin as well as an electrode that passes over the skin’s surface, essentially enveloping skin with RF energy, tightening as it passes..

At Clarity, we combine FaceTite with Morpheus for the best results. Morpheus is a fractionated radio frequency (RF) treatment that directs RF energy toward the adipose fat that’s notorious for causing the formation of jowls. It uses a gold-plated steel microneedle head to deliver the RF and stimulate natural collagen production. Morpheus is kind of like “Fractora on steroids,” with a multi-needle head that goes deeper than Fractora.

After your treatment, you’ll need to wear a compression garment for 72 hours; then only overnight for the next two weeks. Expect to come back for a follow up appointment. In order to see the best possible results, you may require additional treatments with Morpheus.

What Results Can Patients Expect?

The results of your treatment are noticeable immediately, and will continue to improve over time. The best results are typically seen 6 weeks after your initial treatment with improvements continuing up until about 6 months. As I mentioned, FaceTite is the closest thing you can get to a facelift without having to undergo surgery. And the best part? The results are permanent!
