PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

WHAT IS IT?

PRP therapy (platelet-rich plasma) is a natural treatment that is derived from the patient’s own blood. Excellent to promote collagen production and improve overall skin quality.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Blood is drawn from the patient in our office and spun in a centrifuge separating the PRP from the platelet-poor blood.  The PRP contains platelets and small concentrations of stem cells in a gel-like substance. Depending on the patient’s concerns, the PRP may be injected into the treatment area OR massaged into the skin immediately following any treatment that opens micro-channels in the skin. These treatments are micro-needling, fractora, morpheus8 and CO2 laser. The micro-channels allow for deeper absorption of the PRP.

PRP/PRF IS GOOD FOR TREATING?

  • Improve skin tone and texture
  • Increase collagen production
  • Reduce acne scarring
  • Reduce pore size
  • Improve undereye circles and crepey skin
  • Improve overall skin health
  • Promotes healing after treatments (as outlined above)

BENEFITS SEEN:  Results may be seen as early as 6 weeks with continued improvements up to 3 months.
