As of November 3, 2023, Clarity will no longer be offering CoolSculpting. While we pride ourselves on offering the latest and most effective aesthetic treatments, our space at the Dollhouse is limited. This change will allow us to shift our focus entirely towards anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatments for our patients. We appreciate your understanding. — Kati and the Clarity team

You always hear that diet and exercise are the keys to a perfect, toned body. So, you cut out the junk food, start cooking healthier foods and hit the gym. After a while, you start to see the impact of your results. However, every time you look in the mirror, you see a couple pockets of fat that stand out against all of your hard work. You alter your workout routine to concentrate more on those areas, but no matter what you do, they just won’t go away. You may even start to think that achieving that smoother, slimmer appearance is hopeless.

This is where CoolSculpting comes in. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure that freezes away stubborn, unwanted areas of fat. Literally, just freezes them away! Sound too good to be true? Over 4 million men and women worldwide have experienced success with CoolSculpting.

But, despite these results, there are still a few myths and misconceptions surrounding the procedure. Rest assured, the myths you have heard are completely false. But I’m here to clear some of them up for you, just in case.

“I Have Read that CoolSculpting Tightens Skin”

CoolSculpting is a procedure designed to get rid of pockets of stubborn unwanted fat and sculpt the body. It does not, however, tighten lax skin. An applicator is applied to the targeted area and acts as a vacuum, while cooling panels freeze the fat cells away. CoolSculpting has no long term effect on the condition of your skin. So, if you’re looking for skin tightening, CoolSculpting is not the treatment you’re looking for. Fortunately, at Clarity, we also offer Forma™, Plus and Fractora – three treatments which help improve and tighten crepey lax skin by stimulating collagen production.

“CoolSculpting Only Has to be Done Once”

It’s a common belief that you only need a single CoolSculpting treatment and that’s it. While some people can get away with one treatment, this is a rarity. Everyone’s body is different. Your needs and your goals are as unique as you are. Because of this, Clarity’s medical experts will work with you to design a customized treatment plan, tailored to help you get the best possible results. For many, this means multiple treatments.

“CoolSculpting Eliminates the Need for Surgery or Liposuction”

CoolSculpting doesn’t involve liposuction, or any other form of invasive surgery. It gets rid of those lingering bulges that resist diet and exercise that leave you frustrated and defeated. The procedure is not designed to be a weight loss solution for those looking to get rid of a large amount of volume. This would be better accomplished by liposuction. So, while CoolSculpting itself doesn’t involve undergoing a surgical procedure (which is a great benefit for those who aren’t too keen on the idea of surgery), it doesn’t necessarily mean surgery won’t be needed. It all depends upon your unique situation. A good CoolSculpting provider will help you to make the best decision for your specific needs.

“I Can’t Have CoolSculpting Because I Had Surgery”

Don’t let this myth scare you away. Just because you’ve had surgery before, whether it was cosmetic or otherwise, that doesn’t automatically disqualify you from having CoolSculpting treatments. In fact, even scar tissue won’t discount you. So long as you have healed properly from your surgical procedure, and you have areas of pinchable fat (not lax or sagging skin), it can be done. Because CoolSculpting is non-invasive, it won’t interfere with any previous work you’ve already had. In fact, if you still have lingering pockets of fat after a procedure, CoolSculpting can be just what you need to eliminate them. Just make sure to discuss all past surgeries with your consultant.

“I Am Too Fat for CoolSculpting”

This is just not true. CoolSculpting is designed to get rid of unwanted fat cells, helping you to look trimmer and feel better. There are no weight or BMI restrictions for CoolSculpting. However, it is important to bear in mind that CoolSculpting is not meant to be a weight loss solution. Your needs and goals will dictate the number of treatments you require. If you’re looking for a weight loss procedure, you’ll need to consider an alternative.

“I Need to Lose Weight Before I Can Get CoolSculpting”

Again, not necessary. There is no requirement to lose weight before you get CoolSculpting. The best results are seen on those who are within their ideal weight and have fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise, but you don’t need to try to lose weight beforehand. A specialized treatment plan will help you to achieve the best results possible. For many patients, the results seen with CoolSculpting have provided the motivation needed to take better care of themselves. The desire to maintain, or further, the results often lead to patients eating healthy foods and exercising more.

If you have unwanted, noticeable bulges in certain areas of your body that you would like to get rid of, CoolSculpting may be right for you. Just make sure you choose the right provider. Only 14% of CoolSculpting providers are certified. And many lesser unskilled and untrained providers are just looking to cash in on this revolutionary treatment.

At Clarity, I’ve made it a priority that every single member of our team has attended CoolSculpting University to become certified to perform this procedure by its inventors (!). Our training helps to ensure that your procedure will be done safely and effectively, providing you with the best possible results. So now that you know the truth about CoolSculpting, give us a call to schedule your complimentary consultation!
