Is it safe?
Btx-A treatments are safe! This medication has been used for decades to treat a number of medical conditions including TMJ, muscle spasm, migraine headaches, eye spasm, intestinal motility, cerebral palsy and even depression! The amount of Btx-A used for your wrinkles is a fraction of what is used to treat other disease states.
At what age should I start Botox?
It’s not about the number, it’s about the wrinkles! Tanning beds, and other environmental factors are causing deeper wrinkles at a younger age! Let’s go back to the mirror. If the lines are there, but are most obvious when you move then it’s the perfect time to start treating them. If there are no obvious wrinkles, but you can create them with movement, it’s time to think about prevention! The longer you wait, the harder it will be to get a great outcome.
Is Botox a filler?
No — Botox relaxes the muscle contractions that CREATE wrinkles. Fillers, like Restylane and Juvéderm, add volume or reverse creases caused by overactive muscles or loss of fat and collagen. Think of it this way ‘Botox stops the motion, fillers add volume.’
How expensive is it?
At Clarity we charge by the area- even if you need more than someone else! Most of us like to plan and budget for aesthetic procedures. We don’t like surprises. Charging by the area will ensure that you always know how much your treatment will be- every time!
How long will I enjoy my results?
Results last about four months, although this depends on the area treated and how long each person’s body metabolizes the treatment. At Clarity we offer free consultations where you will be advised how often you should be treated and the exact cost of your treatment.
