Have you started to notice a “crepey” appearance to your skin? There’s good news.
Morpheus8 and Fractora both by Inmode are FDA-cleared radio frequency treatment regimens, both safely and effectively reduce wrinkles, rejuvenates and re-texturizes skin, restoring a healthier youthful appearance.
Morpheus8 by Inmode is a fractional radio-frequency treatment that directs energy toward the deep layers of skin. The gold-plated steel micro-pins disperse RF energy in pre-selected depths from 2mm, 3mm, or 4mm stimulating the body’s natural response to remodel the collagen and tighten skin. It is one of the most advanced ablative radio frequency treatments available today to treat advanced crepey, lax skin.
Fractora by Inmode is a fractional radi-frequency rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that reduces wrinkles and improves skin texture, acne scarring, and the appearance of crepey skin. It is FDA-cleared and is one of the most versatile bipolar RF (radio frequency) technology treatments available today.
Fractionated radio-frequency energy found in Fractora and Morpheus8 utilize a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles. Both utilizes a micro-pin handheld device to perforate the skin. This controlled perforation or ablation, damages skin on purpose to expedite exfoliation and skin cell turnover which aids in re-texturizing skin. It also simultaneously delivers radio frequency energy heating the deep layers of skin in a controlled safe delivery method, which causes collagen revitalization.
Clinical evidence shows skin exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius is advantageous for optimal outcomes. Collagen is the building block or foundation in our skin that breaks down as skin ages. Radio-frequency energy stimulates the body’s natural response to build more collagen. More collagen plumps skin, essentially restoring volume, which in effect eases wrinkles.
Morpheus8/Fractora make it possible to transform these common trouble areas:
- Acne scars
- Lip lines “smoker’s lips”
- Laugh lines
- Neck wrinkles
- Sagging jowls
- Sun damage or sunspots
- Undereye crepiness or crow’s feet
- Wrinkles
What you can expect:
A high-potency topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area 1 hour prior. This maximizes your comfort level during the procedure. A small handheld wand with tiny micro-pins will perforate your skin while simultaneously delivering radio frequency energy deep in the dermis. Some patients feel a sensation similar to a rubbing band snap and heat. Immediately after treatment, a soothing balm will be applied. Redness and swelling are common and typically subside within a few hours.
A skin consultation is required to confirm you are a candidate for either of these advanced treatments. A typical patient treatment plan may include one treatment per decade of life. Treatments are spaced at approximately 4-week intervals. Once the full treatment cycle is completed, one to two maintenance treatments per year will assist in maintaining results.
After your treatment:
Downtime is minimal, with one to two days of redness and swelling being very normal. Patients can also expect to see tiny scabs that form from the micro-pins. You are given an at-home skin care plan to follow to ensure you treat your skin properly to optimize your results.
You may begin to see results as early as two weeks after your first treatment session, but the most noticeable results will appear after your last treatment session. Improvements continue up to three months after your full treatment cycle is completed.
Good to know:
Morpheus8/Fractora Radio Frequency versus a Fractionated Laser Treatment?
Fractionated lasers, such as Fraxel, typically leave the patient with the appearance of a burn victim (depending on the level of energy used). Weeping, oozing skin, redness, swelling, and blistering are quite common after a fractionated laser treatment and require a minimum of five to seven days of downtime. These types of fractionated laser treatments generally are what we call a “one-and-done” treatment. Fractora by Inmode Radio Frequency can achieve nearly the same results, but instead, patients will receive treatments over a period of time, (typically three months) with little to no downtime. Our patients have told us that the difference in downtime is quite appealing to their busy lifestyles.

It’s been four years since I’ve worn contact lenses because I used my glasses to hide my crepey skin under my eyes. After my first of four Fractora sessions for under my eyes, I could see results that were DRAMATIC for me – I am back to wearing my contact lenses!!!”
