Made by Galderma, this groundbreaking new product is perfect for anyone who’s been thinking about lip augmentation.

Now you can have the gorgeous lips you’ve been longing for that last and last.

What is Restylane® Kysse?

So what is Restalyne® Kysse? It’s an injectable hyaluronic acid gel dermal filler.

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar that’s naturally found in the body and gives skin elasticity, plumpness, and moisture. Basically, it helps keep you your well lubricated and looking young.

What makes Restalyne® Kysse particularly special is that it’s designed with XpresHAn Technology™, which combines Kysse with BDDE, an ingredient that helps to form a hyaluronic acid network. This makes the filler more flexible — for more natural movement and natural-looking volume. And BONUS: this helps it last longer.

Restalyne Kysse may last up to one full year, while most other dermal fillers last around 6 to 9 months.

How Does Restylane® Kysse Work?

It’s injected with a super-fine needle into your lips to plump them, and can also be used to enhance the lip border. Plus it’s flexible nature works beautifully to minimize the look of perioral lines or “smokers” lines around the mouth.

If you’re worried about it hurting, Restalyne® Kysse contains 0.3 % lidocaine to help make the process more comfortable. In addition, your practitioner, Kati, will use an anesthetic to help numb the area and minimize any pain.

What Are the Benefits?

So why choose Restalyne Kysse? In a clinical study, it was compared to other dermal fillers typically used to augment lips. The results found that Kysse produced the most “kissable lips”, in other words — lips felt soft, not stiff, and looked the most natural.

Of the participants in the study, 88% rated an improvement in the appearance of their lips six months after treatment, and 78% rated an improvement in appearance 12 months after treatment.

Those longer-lasting results mean that you don’t have to go back for additional treatments as often. Your lips will stay plump for many moons!

Restalyne® Kysse is also an excellent tool for minimizing the look of vertical lines on your lips, which can age you. It’ll fill out the area and make your lips look and feel soft and smooth.

Who Shouldn’t Use Kysse?

While Restalyne Kysse is safe for most individuals, there are some people who should avoid using it. These include:

  • Anyone who has a history of severe allergies.
  • Anyone who’s previously had an allergic reaction to dermal fillers.
  • Anyone who’s allergic to anesthetics like lidocaine.
  • In these situations, Kysse could potentially cause an allergic reaction.

Are There Side Effects?

In the clinical study of Kysse, most side effects were mild to moderate and lasted for seven days or less. Most commonly, patients saw issues at the injection site like redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, or discoloration.

Other risks associated with dermal fillers include:

  • Infection
  • Scarring
  • Change in skin tone
  • Cold sores — If you’ve ever had cold sores, they could return after using Kysse.
  • Age and pregnancy — Kysse hasn’t been studied in patients under 22 or patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Vision changes
  • Use of other skin treatments like laser or chemical peeling or hair removal
  • UV exposure

There’s also a very small risk that the filler could be unintentionally injected into a blood vessel. If this happens, there’s a possibility of vision abnormalities or blindness, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring.

It’s important to discuss any risks with your practitioner to make sure Kysse is right for you.
