If you’re looking to get gorgeous, glowing skin, there are lots of options as far as skincare treatments go. But the best of the best to improve the quality of your skin? HydraFacial™ and microdermabrasion!

Both options treat dull skin tone, uneven texture, and thickness, leading to brighter, more radiant skin. They both promote the production of collagen and improve overall texture and smoothness.

So how do you know which one is right for you? That’s what we’ll cover in this blog.

How Does HydraFacial™ Work?

HydraFacial™ is a more advanced, gentle,  effective, next-generation version of microdermabrasion. It’s a relaxing experience with no discomfort and no downtime., it’s 3 steps in 30 minutes.

The HydraFacial™ process features a patented vortex-fusion tip. This unique, spiral suction tip infuses a range of specialized super-serums that penetrate the skin 20% deeper than topical application alone. It simultaneously cleanses the skin, dislodging impurities.

The HydraFacial™ procedure combines three distinctive rejuvenation steps. The first step cleanses and a mild peel is appliled, step two is a gentle exfoliation followed with a hydrating serum, the third step fuses skin with a serum of antioxidants and peptides before a moisturizing spf is applied all over glowing skin.

The experience is completely customizable by selecting a specialized boosters, LED light therapy, and the addition of lymphatic drainage, all of which can enhance the process and improve your skin even further.

Patients who try one HydraFacial™ usually end up scheduling another treatment in order to maintain their skin’s luminosity.

How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Alternatively, microdermabrasion is a non-invasive yet abrasive treatment that’s designed to remove the thickened outer layer and polish the surface of the skin.

A microdermabrasion tip is actually similar to an electric palm sander. The process is an exfoliation-only or what is referred to as a “mechanical peel” procedure that treats the outer layers of skin. The tip is quite literally removing dead, dull skin.

It’s important to note that the treatment may cause some discomfort, and skin can be irritated due to the abrasive nature of microdermabrasion. Your skin may look worse before it looks better — but that’s only a temporary phenomenon before you get your glow on!
